THE OVERVIEW

Montreaux Golf & Country Club, Reno, Nevada - The PGA moves west for one summer week to the Montreaux Golf and Country Club in beautiful Reno, Nevada. The course is a Jack Nicklaus design and will play as a 7,472 yard par 72. The course winds through lakes and waterfalls and features tree-lined fairways, bentgrass/poa greens, and the memorably testy 8th hole, which is a 636-yard, par 5. Number 8 is long, but it is also straight, and although it presents a lot of trouble, two good shots can result in eagle.

The field is a bit lighter due to the in concurrent WGC event being held this week, but don't doubt that there is a ton of talent looking to compete in Nevada.

GOLF PICKS

THE 'FORE' SOMES

'FORE' SOMES are chosen by selecting one player from a "low tier" betting pool (30:1 or better), two players from a "mid tier" (30:1 - 75:1), and a final player from a "high tier" (75:1 & up).

KEITH'S 'FORE' SOME

Richy Werenski  (25:1).  Having a solid year. T11 Valero. T4 St. Jude. T2 last week at the Barbasol. The 26-year-old from Georgia Tech has a smooth swing and calm demeanor. Guy could light it up this week. Value play, but I really like it.

Andrew Putnam  (33:1)  &  Bronson Burgoon  (50:1).  Putnam is just fire right now. Might be able to win a birdie fest. We've also been on Burgoon a lot lately. He's also playing super solid right now. Finished well here in 2016.

Dylan Meyer  (90:1).  The chalk of this range in our humble opinion.
